    My Approach

    From insight to lasting change

Many people who come here carry a feeling of being stuck — in the same thoughts, the same reactions, the same patterns. Understanding why, and finding a way forward, is what we work on together.

We explore what keeps you stuck

At the core of my work is CBT — an approach based on the idea that thoughts, feelings and behaviours are closely connected. Together, we look at patterns that may once have protected you or helped you cope, but that now keep you stuck or create recurring difficulties.

At a safe and respectful pace you get the opportunity to understand what is happening within you – and why. Often a sense of relief emerges when what previously felt confusing or self-critical becomes understandable. As awareness grows, change begins to feel more stable — not forced, but developing naturally.

When we begin to see the patterns more clearly, the possibility of doing something new also opens up.

    From insight to practical change

Understanding is an important beginning – but real change happens when insight is translated into action. Together we formulate clear and meaningful goals based on what you want to change or develop in your life.

You'll be given practical tools and exercises to use in everyday life between sessions. I support you throughout the process and help you adjust direction and pace when needed. Step by step you build new ways of relating to thoughts, feelings and situations – so that change is not only felt in the room but noticed in life.

And when new approaches begin to take shape, a bigger question often arises: What do I actually want to move towards?

A more meaningful life – even when it's hard

Drawing on ACT, we also work with acceptance, presence and values. Instead of getting stuck in the struggle against difficult thoughts and feelings, you practise meeting them with greater flexibility and self-compassion.

The goal is not to remove what is painful – life will always contain challenges. The goal is to help you live in the direction of what matters to you: relationships, engagement, security, growth. Real change often happens when you begin taking steps towards what you value — even when it feels uncomfortable.
